01 / Practice Area · Podcasting & Audio Production
End-to-end podcast production, remote studio engineering & narrative sound.
Podcasting continuously since 2011 and producing under the Tinman Enterprise banner, I manage the complete audio lifecycle: show architecture, editorial briefs, remote studio engineering, conversational hosting, and narrative sound design.
From flagship B2B marketing shows like Marketers of the Universe to national arts documentaries like Amplify, I build audio programmes that hold an audience and integrate cleanly into wider content strategies.
1. Show Development & Content Strategy
Taking a podcast from a vague idea to a repeatable format. I shape show concepts, episode run-downs, and editorial briefs – building B2B and cultural podcasts designed to feed wider written articles, social assets, and video clips rather than sitting in an audio silo.
2. Hosting & Long-Form Interviewing
Over 15 years behind the mic getting guests to drop the rehearsed PR script and have a proper conversation. I’ve interviewed everyone from comedian and Taskmaster creator Alex Horne, broadcaster Iain Lee, and Carnegie Medal-winning author Jason Reynolds to Yogscast co-founder Lewis Brindley and senior B2B marketing leaders.
3. Narrative Editing & End-to-End Production
Good podcasting happens in the edit. From briefing guests and managing remote recordings to multi-track editing, narrative structuring, and distribution, I handle the full production workflow to turn raw, rambling conversations into tight, broadcast-ready episodes.

Marketers of the Universe
A digital marketing podcast that gives founders and marketing teams practical advice they can actually use. We take search updates, industry debates, and agency trends, and break them down in 30 minutes without the typical agency waffle.

Amplify: Youth Voice in Cultural Learning
A national documentary series examining participatory arts practice, co-production, and young people’s voice across cultural and educational institutions. Spanning both broadcast audio and video documentary across two seasons (Season 1: Audio & Video · Season 2: Video Documentary Series), I oversaw end-to-end delivery across nine Arts Council England Bridge organisations: scheduling and interviewing 32 arts organisations across England, managing rapid editing turnarounds, overseeing video documentary production, and rolling out the accompanying sector toolkit.

Tom Inniss Interviews...
Started in 2011 using a simple dictaphone to interview broadcaster Iain Lee at Absolute Radio, this long-running independent series (originally The Tom Inniss Podcast) explores creative craft, careers, and culture. I oversee the entire production, from guest liaison to recording, editing, and promotion, hosting candid conversations with broadcasters, authors, and digital creators including Iain Lee, Lewis Brindley (The Yogscast), and Joe Craig.

The Voice Magazine Podcast
Set up during the pandemic as a new way to connect with Voice Magazine’s national readership, bringing together creative artist interviews, festival dispatches, and cultural commentary from the Voice team. As editor on the show, I work with young reporters and contributors across the UK, shaping their field recordings and remote interviews into polished broadcast episodes.

The Voice Extra Podcast
A contributor-led companion series where emerging writers and reviewers from the Voice network discuss their published work, creative interests, and longer interviews with artists, supporting young people to take ownership of their own narrative on air. I serve as executive producer and occasional editor on the show.

Arts Award Voice Podcast
Commissioned at the start of 2014 after the Arts Award management team heard Tom Inniss Interviews... and wanted to bring its production quality and relaxed interviewing style to a youth-driven arts discussion show. The podcast offered an alternative medium for young people to engage with the arts, combining artist interviews, updates from Youth Network Leaders, live performances, and practical Arts Award guidance.
Whether you’re launching a B2B podcast from scratch, need an experienced producer to shape and edit your episodes, or want a host who knows how to lead a conversation, I’d love to chat. Based in Suffolk, I work with brands, agencies, and publications across London and the UK.
